I am excited to attend the Transplanted Roots Research Symposium 2022 at the University of California, San Diego, where I will perform Erik Griswold’s Twos and Threes for prepared vibraphone. Transplanted Roots is one of my favorite events that I look forward to every two years, where the contemporary percussion community comes together to share exciting work and support each other. I am especially excited that this year it will take place at my alma mater - UCSD!

The SOU Percussion program will be well-represented. SOU MM program alumnae Jared Brown and Jordan Curcuruto will present Relative Dimensions by SOU Faculty/Alumnus, Bryan Jeffs.

SOU MM program alumnus Jade Hails will present Georges Aperghis’ le corps a corps.

And, SOU MM student Delaney Jai will present their own composition, 23.
